|Above: Clifford did have hobbies other than the Fez - most much, much safer. Generally a safe and relaxing pastime, no other hints
have come to light relating to Clifford's stamp collecting. The finding of this item was pure and simple luck. When contacted
regarding this item the Ebay seller unfortunately knew nothing about where it came from or how.
The cover was part of the first flight commemoration of the famed Martin M130 Flying Boat which pioneered trans pacific
commerical flight for Pan Am in 1937. Specially postmarked letters were carried on the inaugural flight of the Clipper from San
Francisco to Macao. Individual cachets were issued for each leg of the flight with this one addressed to Clifford being carried on the
Manila to Hong Kong leg of the epic journey.
