Above: As the Brotherhood delved deeper into the tunnel complex the environment became more and more dangerous. While there was
never any hint of toxic gases, the atmosphere became noticeably heavier and we, like Clifford before us, felt as if we were being watched
or at least like we were treading into a place in which we were simply not welcome. While Clifford expressed experiencing these very
same sensations in his diary, he never seemed to link them either directly to the Fez itself (which he always had with him) or to some
other supernatural occupant the underground fastness. It is held by most members of the Brotherhood that it was indeed the Purple Fez
that was the source of the dreaded omnipresence that we and our legendary founder both felt. If this was indeed the case then one must
assume that someplace in those long buried corridors the Fez still waits...
